I dont blame you Lee, I would too mate lol.
Now the car is on the spit its so much easier to get to things, So I welded the bottom of the O/S outer sill into place tonight
and because all I have ever seen on this car is rust and then welding new bits on I decided to spray some overpaintable stoneguard on, just to help me think there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it deffo looks better already

Deffo feels good to get some paint on, seeing rot and holes and muck everywhere deffo does my head in, you really do feel like your getting nowhere lol.
Julie let me have the afternoon in the garage so I decided to turn the car and weld the underside of the floorpans to the existing metalwork
Found a few more holes along the way but nothing serious
This is the spare wheel well, and you can see its had some proper bodge in the past, and loads of fibreglass stuffed in, so this lot has to come out, you can also see the rotten bit of chassis near the rear valance
Under the fuel tank, this has to come out as well, you can also see the chassis rotten in the same area near the valance

Thank you Davey, and im trying to get stuck into it Jon, but there is always something else that needs sorting or doing while im in the middle of working on it
well a few taps with the hammer and a large area of heavy bodge dropped into the boot and left me with this
This is what was fitted to make a sparewheel well, it looks like a mini skip made from someones washing machine, and it was all held together and in position with a load of fibreglass filler
After removing more underseal and dressing up my welding, a bit more stoneguard goes on, and its slowly taking shape. Still loads to do though, but it is a lot more solid now.

Bit more done today, to say these are both Hadrian panels they deffo do not match up correctly
Decided the best way with this was to cut all the old wheelwell out right upto the boot floor and start from there
All was going great, but my welder decided to put an end to that, the gas switch decided to let gas out all the time so it now needs a new switch and I cant see any on fleece bay, just my bloody luck lol. This is as far as I got, so need to get the welder fixed to carry on

Those spare wheel well and tank well panels are a bit shit to be honest tony but with a bit of fettling they do the job. Not trying to teach my grandmother how to suck eggs but if u haven't welded that in yet it might be a good idea to sort that rear leg end out, will give you a bit more room to get in with grinder etc.

Thanks again for the comments guys, I havent taken the old chassis ends off yet Jon and tbh I never thought about the easier access lol, luckily they are hanging on by a thread so shouldnt take much to remove them both.
Well I took my mig trigger to bits and found a small piece of black crap in the air valve, no idea where that came from or how it ended up in the air valve, anyway cleaned it out, put it all back together and thankfully all is well again.
Shaped the outer part of the wheelwell to mate up better to the inner part
This bit is for Davey Then started to make the first part of the new inner arch
Bit of paint on it until I make the other side
Another view to show how its coming together
