Managed to get this corner all welded up now, looks a bit messy at the min, but its solid at last and when i dress it and clean it up properly and shift the rest of the old underseal and drill my missing hole, it should look really good. That just leaves a few places on the chassis to sort and the underside will then be done, then once im happy with the inside I can get some colour sorted for the underside

Thanks Lee, Im happy with how it turned out, next job is this rotten chassis leg end, out with the old and in with the new lol
A small piece of the floor was rotten here so that came out as well, so I cant plug weld that bit until I replace the rotten floor piece from the other side
This is how it looks now, Once I repair the floor I can get this bit finished off, so much better than the scabby bit that was there

Made a start on the O/S chassis, this was far worse than the other side. I have two more plates to make to go over this one and the top plate will have a new return lip on it that also welds to the floor of the car, lets see how it goes . The plate on the right shows you how think the metal is im using here (1.5mm). Hopefully I should be able to crack on with this tomorrow evening.

Thank you Chris
O/S front chassis section is now all but completed,
New bottom section, I copied the N/S one to get it as near correct as I could
This plate is the top one, ready for welding into place
Plug welded into place, just got to go the whole way round it now
Quick clean up and more etch primer, just needs a little more fettling and it should be finished, jacking hole and the little 6mm hole further up also drilled back into chassis rail
