Latest update . Engine man reckons the steel crank is perfect and can be re-used . I'll find out about the conrods soon i hope . Happy days so far

More good news . Julian Godfreys finished the new replacement block machining already (rebore, decked , deck face poilshed for W.R.C. head gasket , chemical clean) etc etc . They've also supplied all the bearings etc as well , top service . Conrods are being modded next week .

Yes i can't wait fella , the right foot keeps twitching whilst watching the TV . Hoping to smash the street legal , N/A , 4 cylinder record out of sight this summer (whilst in comfort and not on a gay trailer) .

A small set back with my engine then . The engine shops decided that it's cheaper to buy a new conrod for cylinder no1 rather than repair it and then modify the other 3 too match . So i took the damaged one to Burtons yesterday and it's a special lightweight version which isn't in stock . This means i could have too wait a while until they get one made or if i'm lucky Fardon might have one lying about at main H.Q.
I bought some other bits as well so i'll put up some pics later on .
