Just checked the ones that were on kermit Jon, and they are M6 that appear to be welded to the plate that was then welded to the floor, the centre ones either side of the tunnel are still on the car and are deffo also M6.

Looking really good now mate, what seat runners are you using ? because I cant see the rear bolt plates that sit between the outer sill and chassis if your using original ones. Be a shame to get some paint on and then find you need to do a bit more welding.

Thats the one tony was on ebay at barnard castle, just up the road from me, got some bits of the guy before, real nice chap but wanted £100 for it last year (thats what he paid for it) but just wanted rid now and took £40 for it
Real nice bonnet, doesnt require any filler work at all which is a bonus its still wearing its factory paint . My old bonnet was totally rust free but had holes for bonnet pins which i could of welded up however some useless cu*t had fitted it with the wrong bolts through the hinges at some point in its life that were to long and made 4 high spots on the bonnet skin, would have fettled up easily but wasnt worth the effort for £40 plus i have a good spare should anything bad happen in the future. Just wish i had the money to get it painted now i feel im nearlt there!

Nice work as per usual mate, bubble and scuttle panel look well. Is the bonnet a gold one ? there was one on the bay for sale that looked mint but was too far for me to go to get it, so im still after one for kermit.
I still have to start on my garage but its going to have to wait a little longer.

had the night of demolition and thought id spend a bit of time on the escort. Got the heater bubble and scuttle blasted so gave them a coat of etch and then re fitted the bubble

The scuttle just sat on at the second, need to tack it in place then check the alignment with the rear edge of the bonnet before welding fully. Also fitted another bonnet i came across

, very nice bonnet, still in factory paint doesnt require any repair or filler work, bargain at £40.

Did a bit more on drivers door, dressed the welds up where the factory trim holes had been (not the origional doors for this car)

Then welded the spare handbrake cable bracket on i had incase i decide to do a disc brake conversion and cable upgrade in the future

Possibly some more after the weekends demolition if the weather holds up.

Its blue wheel caliper paint from halfords, just thinned it and added a bit of 2 pack hardner and applied with the spray gun. Not sure if they are supposed to be that colour but i liked the look of it and it should hold upto engine temp ok if its made for brakes.
