Thank you for your comments, as a fellow Mk2 owner and competitor I fully appreciate the man hours, dedication and money required to keep these old girls going. It's encouraging to hear that my customers are happy with the service and products that I provide, especially in the current economic climate. My prices are always kept as low as possible but I refuse to compromise on quality and ease of fitting.

I look forward to seeing you soon and remember advce is FREE but I have to charge for the parts!!!! LOL

Wish the previous owner hadn't tried to Gp4 it, most of my " blood sweat and tears " have come when I have had to re-do his work!!!!!!! There are areas which I dont like but have to leave due to cost, but that's me being too OCD!!!!

        • I managed to spend the Holiday Weekend welding in the new panhard kit as the original is prone to splitting the boot floor.

Wasn't looking forward to this job as it's quite a set up, but so much stronger than what was already fitted. This has taken a lot of man hours to fit and I still have to weld in another strengthener plate inside the boot.

I've also done some seam welding around the front strut areas and re-did the chassis rails as the welding was crap, just like the rest of the previous owners work!!!!!

              • I've spent a lot of time grinding down old crappy welds and trying to make nice new welds, not always successful but still better than they were.

I picked up some sill stand tubes from Sean at Rally Weld last Week so made a start on them today, only managed to get one done and that took about 5 Hrs.

                    • Called into Rally Weld yesterday to buy a few more fabricated parts, Sean was busy spanner checking his MK2 for the plains Rally next weekend but still took the time to fabricate a jig to make me a tow hook for my car which only cost a few pounds, CUSTOMER CARE AT IT'S BEST, Highly recommend Sean at Rally Weld, so if you need anything for your Escort give him a ring, you wont be dissapointed.

Called in today to pick up a replacement seat tube and took some photos of a rolled MK2 that he's straightening and then fitting a few GP4 parts, SEE THREAD ON HERE.

I've also cut out metal from the rear wheel arches as these areas were damaged when I cut off the roll cage strenghening plates, butt welded new metal, not worried about strengh as the new cage will be turret mounted.

Also cut off the horrible strut brace brackets, and my next job is to weld in the new ones that I bought as a complete strut brace kit from Rally Weld.
