Wasn't happy with the shut lines so re-fitted both wings, and took more time with door adjustment. Much better now so I got round to fitting the front arches and spoiler, just needs riveting and seam sealer when I have more time.
I've spent hours wire brushing the old filler from the front arches and spoiler, countersunk the rivet holes, removed the burrs, etched primed and now ready to fit when I can find the time.
Crackin thread just gone through it for the first time. Nice work, wish I could weld. Well I can weld I did a evening class for 12 weeks, but I wouldn't go near a car lol
Front arches and spoiler are now riveted on, had to improvise using countersunk screws and nylock nuts in some areas as these parts were taken off the old wings and front panel and some of the fixing holes were just too big for rivets.
I need to weld on the heater bowl and scuttle panel next. I've managed to repair the scuttle panel but the heater bowl (plenum chamber) is beyond repair due to the previous owner cutting it out to fit a coil and the brake reservoirs.
ANYONE HELP WITH SELLING ME A HEATER BOWL!!!!!!!!!!
If not I'll have to bite the bullet and buy new from Express Panels at approx £160.
I want to fit the rear arches so it looks like I'm getting somewere. I made a slide hammer to pull out some dents so I can start the bodywork.
Gone a step backwards!!!!!! I wasn't really happy with the front spoiler, it was too high and so the sides drooped instead of being parallel with the ground. this is how the previous owner had fitted it as I used the same holes in the arches, I did try it lower but it didn't overlap the front of the arches.
Was going to live with it but somebody pointed it out on another forum so i have to change it. Already drilled it off but the holes are now far too big to rivet. I've welded up the holes in the front panel and ground down, just needs a skim of filler.
I was thinking about re-fitting it by drilling between the existing holes and then filling the large holes with filler, I'd also have to add metal to extend the arches, as I have no way to weld Aluminium this would be in steel, but not noticeable with filler in the join and it's only a small section. I would also have to straighten the spoiler edge lip as it is too short to wrap around the back of the arches.
I'll probably go plan B and buy a new spoiler from Rally Weld, at least I can get Saun to modify it to fit the arches.
Hi There great work so far its going to look fantastic when its finished.
My only comment about the front spoiler would be if your going to use it as a rally car and especially in the forests then its best to get it as high as possible.Mine is quite low the two number plate mounting holes are above it and its always getting bent on stages even though I havent hit anything.I hope thats some help.

As it is in the photo the spoiler is just about covering 90% of the holes. It will eventually be used in the forests.
I also see you have still retained the the lower lip of the front valance, I chopped mine off as it was sitting slightly lower than my alloy front spoiler.
