Not to bad as I`m still offshore till Monday. I phoned the garage today and it has just to be MOT`d
Just aswell I`ve only got the passenger seat and glove box left to fit when I get it home !

Spoke to the garage today and at last she has been MOT`d
They have had to replace the water pump though as it packed in
Rather now than out and about though.

Picking it up either on Monday or Tuesday when i get home from offshore
That will be its first run too taking it home from the garage.
Can`t wait

Well the good news has been short lived
The missus went to the garage today where she was told the carbs have had it.
They are barely keeping the car running and are ****ing out fuel aswell.
Can`t have that especially with going to the lakes . Its got to the stage where it needs one turning the key and another under the bonnet just to get the car started

I suppose on a lighter note its better to have happened there than out on the road somewhere with no mobile signal
Have taken the plunge and got the missus to order a complete new kit of everything . Will be getting them fitted and set up asap too.
So the drive home on weds will have to wait a few days longer

Sorry to hear this, but how the heck did it pass an MOT with the carbs leaking petrol like that? I've got a problem with mine leaking from a joint and I figure I won't take it for an MOT until that's sorted (plus some welding, but that's by the by. ).

It wne through its test fine , Was only after the water pump had been replaced they were testing the car and the carbs decided they have had enough. Easier to get them replaced than faff about with service kits new parts etc etc.

Ain't that typical. At least you'll be out in it soon...my target is the end of August when my parents are visiting (it was their car) but I'm not sure even that is realistic.

keep at it mate and you`ll get there. When i got my car last september i thought there was only about a months work to finish it !

Picking the car up on friday at LONG last
Will get road tax then too.

Got my first meet on sunday with it so cannot wait

Its in Aberdeen on Sunday at a place in Bridge of Don - Laws tyres .
Just a heap of the lads getting together and looking what everyones been doing over the winter etc . I`m looking forward to meeting people as it will be good to put faces to usernames
