Car was meant to be at the auto sparkie but he keeps fobbing me off with "fully booked mate phone next week" . Dont think hes interested to be honest so i`m going to go elsewhere as he has had his chance
Anyway been trying to get her started today but shes not having it
Filled her with coolant and no leaks, filled with fuel again no probs. Hooked up the battery removed the coil to dizzy lead and turned her over to check for oil pressure which was spot on. Checked i had fuel at the carbs which was also perfect. However she just kept turning and turning but not firing. Think i need new points cap and rotor arm
I`ll get there eventuallysigpic

Well another unsuccessful day on the car. Removed the dizzy cap and coil lead and condenser and points and rotor arm. Cleaned everything as they`re more or less new anyway sprayed it all with wd40 put it all back together , held ma breath and turned the key but she still refuses to fire .
Took out all the plugs to check they weren`t petrol soaked but they were fine. however tried it again but no go . So gave up in disgust and cleaned the missus turbo instead
Might need a bottle of this

So you have fuel and spark? If so is it timing? And what's the compression like, have you checked the valve clearances?
