Well phoned the garage today to get an update and the fun and games continue
They`ve had to strip out the heater matrix as the motor and resistor have burnt out . Have managed to source a new motor but need the resistor thing.
Also been told the carbs are pretty past it too so they are going to service them for now and maybe later on in the year i might get a shiny new set of webbers

It's best to have all the shite at this time of year and not in. The summer when you just want to drive drive. Also your car is looking very smart can't wait until we all go to the lakes as part of the Fraserburgh old skool escorts I think there will be 6 mk2 all running together.that's if I get past Dundee this year

I got a used resister from a Capri they are the same look at the adds in classic Ford they had a few of them

Well managed to get a new heater motor and also tracked down a resistor too. So now the garage can get going and get the heater back together and start rebuilding the dashboard
He`s done most of the other jobs required so not long now

Aye have been discussing doing that to finish it off aas i agree it would look better. Going to see how much time i have once i get the car back.
