Thanks for the comment, this is the last one I am doing for myself, the Harrier is pented and just waiting to be put back together, problem is we have just started on a Signal Amber MK2 RS shell to sell as per the green one we did, also on with stripping a mk2 van for a full concours build so Harrier is in limboOriginally posted by maxest View PostLove your resto's,, brilliant attention to detail.. when you doing the silver harrier??sigpic

 Cracking on

Started on the front light mechanism, this is the hinged part and the motor, the alluminium headlamp pod bolts to this, all this is hidden under the nose of the car.

Removed the motor and put it to one side for now, then, instead of trying to clean the old hinged part up I took two new ones out of the box, £7 each on offer a while back from a Triumph parts specialist

New turnbuckle, this connects the motor to the hinge, the motor is basically a windscreen wiper motor and this link converts the circular motion of the motor into up and down motion ............usually one sides going up while the others coming down

Cleaned up the assister spring, few other little bits added and that was them done, sort the motors tomorrow and get them onto the shell

This is basically how they sit on the car, the studs come through into the engine bay and the plated bkts are seen also

I managed to get everything built up and back into the garage outta the conservatory before the wife got in from work

Got the motors recon'd ,well pented, they were working when they came off so fingers crossed , refitted the motor/hinge units and did a bit of a dry fit of the pods and they fit nice, currently sorting the headlamps and bowls out. , refitted the motor/hinge units and did a bit of a dry fit of the pods and they fit nice, currently sorting the headlamps and bowls out.

Got Aldridge to copy the original roof lining but in black RS2000 MK1 material, original was white-ish , prefer black. Not a great copy, very little shape and its a bit like an Arabs tent inside at the moment, not happy, will persevere and get it as good as I can , hard to photograph , hard to photograph

Had a clear out day today, threw loads of old tat out that I will probably need somewhere down the line but sick of tripping over it, also decided to try some wheels on the back

6x15 KN Alloys, not too sure on these, prefer a deeper offset

And a factory 6x13 alloy, think I prefer these, maybe with a spacer to bring it out a bit ?
