Now got the satin black on the sills etc, also the full underside of the car has been satin blacked after a light coat of stoneguard, all seams have been sealed where necessary, soon be on its way home.

Also the bodyshop is to be featured in the local rag so a few photos were taken by them of the TR and the Mexico for publication before it goes off to its new home next week. Hopefully next time they are together they will be fully assembled and parked at Heaves ....

New tank came today, it was black but would have disappeared under the car, also it wasnt the best coat of paint in the world, so I asked the lads in the bodyshop to prep it, seal the outer flange and paint it primer grey with a satin laquer, new straps were also painted and tank is now in the car.

Had a delivery of the rear GAZ shocks and uprated springs, bit of a story, I ordered two rear shocks, a mistake as on the companys website that meant two pairs, I now have 4 GAZ shocks , hope to get one pair sent back.

Any way once the tank was in I pressed on and got the axle in and bolted up, no pics as yet.

Few parts back from pooder coaters

Pedal box, rebuilt and installed









Used a MK2 battery tray relocated to boot, need a battery clamp if anyone has one for sale, black panel on rear bulkhead is access to fuel filler tube



Fitted a larger brake servo and master cylinder which should work well with the 2.8 capri brake set up, the V8 takes a bit more stopping than the 2 litre



Wiring, never a TR7 strong point, there are only 4 glass fuses but loads of relays that look like they came out of the ark, plus the loom is modded by the previous owner for the V8, chopping a lot of it out and re-doing it correctly
