Well it now looks like I am in the remanufacturing buisness
I wanted to reapply the factory stripe kit after the car is painted, however N.O.S kits have long since disappeared and probably wouldnt stick if any were found.
Over the last year or so I have been scouring dealers and the internet for odd pieces of stripe, each section had its own part number.
Well I finally managed to get the 3 pieces that do one side of the car, I took these to a graffix company and got them to copy the stripe and flip the image for the opposite side, sounds easier than it was and I had to suffer the initial set up costs
Picked the stripe kit up today and it is spot on, very pleased.
If anyone wants some TR7 stripes for their Escort give me a bell

I'm not going works colours son, thats been done to death by others.Originally posted by lee bishop View Postthe works cars didnt have the stripes on did they???
Postie arrived today with a parcel direct from US of A , a guy over there had a batch of seat material remade so I had a couple of metres shipped over, enough to do a pair of standard seats and a pair of buckets as an option.
Material is a perfect match for the N.O.S door cards.

Cheers son, have a couple of options on the wheels, at present I have a set of factory alloys but I think they are too narrow, I have a set of 15x6 Minilite style alloys but I dont like 15's as the offset is too flush with the rim, a bit fwd looking. So, I am hoping the budget will allow a set of 7x13 Minilites with a decent dish, or 8's on the back if they'll squeeze under the arch.Originally posted by Mogsmex View Postgoing to be a stunner paul, what wheels are you going for ???sigpic

Well if these pics work ...
This was an hour or two after its final coat of pent, still to be machine polished , lads start that today, and bonnet, boot and headlamp pods to finish.
Got to say big thanks to both TonyNic and Toddy who come on this BB, both lads work in the bodyshop and have put in a massive effort to get this shell and paint job as good as it looks, best paint job I have ever had by far.
Son
