(OK, so I'm long overdue an update... sorry...)
All the front end panels are now on. Front panel, slam panel, radiator crossmember and wings:
So then I set about chopping the wings up to fit the forest arches:
Followed by the new front spoiler:
Seat rails are in both sides. The drivers side has been tricky as I've fitted an exhaust tunnel where the seat mounts need to go. I'm pretty tall, so having the seat tubes higher than the exhaust tunnel would leave the seat far too high. So, the inside of my seat will bolt directly to the exhaust tunnel:
Its a bit tight - but just fits. And my head clears the roof:
Latest adaptation. I recycled my old hydraulic handbrake lever to make this:
Basically, I'm keeping the standard handbrake which will provide a cable operation - to keep the scrutineers happy. But I've also got an upright hydraulic lever too. I did something similar before, but I had a lever at the front that connected to a master cylinder which was in the regular handbrake position - and also pulled on a cable. This new setup is a lot simpler:
View from passenger side:
Next I need to turn the car around and then sort the passenger side seat mounts...
