Aww man, gutted for you. Didnt know you personally, but that must have been such a kick in the bollox watching all that time and money go up like that. Thing is, its only a car, and your life is more important and the car CAN be replaced.

After seeing this thread, on here and on Turbosport, i have literally just ordered a Extinguisher kit for my escort as i have a drift day next Saturday and i would HATE for this to happen. I had a scare a few months ago where i was drifting at pod, and the fuel rail snapped and spunked fuel all over the exhaust manifold. How it didnt go up in flames i will never know.

Sorry to see this, but if theres one good thing to come out of it, is that people will take precautions now, like i have. It's a wake up call to many....

Was an inspirational car, i know the amount of time and effort not to mention money that goes into making such a car, to watch it go up like this must be unbelievable.

what a sad end to such a good car, should have been to an old heap like mine not to one as good as this. It pains me to say this but at the end of the day its just a chunk of metal and the fact that everyone escaped ok is a god send
