I'd like to pop over and use the 12sec "comfy" Escort on your shores one day . You'll be suprised when you see it as IT'S NOT A DRAG RACE CAR , it's just a normal Escort . The thing is i know what the original poster wants as that's what most people want . Most people want a fast road car and not a full on competition car . Full on competition cars are a chore too drive on the street hence they get dragged about on trailers everywhere .
You can't beat driving an old Escort on the street amougst all the new plastic motors on a regular basis . Spanking their arses off the lights in a blaze of tyre smoke is even more enjoyable and especially if your car looks standard from the outside . Even a 2.5 inch tailpipe looks like a pea shooter these days compared to all the new high performance shite that's driving about . They soon take notice when 130db's of trumpet roar shatters their windows followed by a Tsunami of rubber hitting their windscreen , lol .
