Alls these folk with these so called fast cars and yet they trailer them ever where

I class mine as fast and I trailer it to and from events (then drive it at the event trackday etc)

Where as some people drive to events and have to trailer em or put em on the back of breakdown lorries to get home

Agreed Dave you do hammer yours but you DO put yours on a trailer when it breaks down

Pintos and 16v pintos are the best/fastest engines and are the cheapest to installl and get working/driving . Forget all the crappy newer wonder engines (duratec, s2000 , zetec etc etc) as they will usually get smoked as they have no grunt . Get up the classic Ford show and watch the South London pintos in action , even the £1500 budget ones beat the newer 16v engines that have been lifted from a FWD shopping trolley and put in an Escort , lol .

the problem with gaz is that he thinks everything is shit if it hasnt got a n/a cossy or south london pinto in. how boring would the ford scene be if we all had the same engine/box configuration. i personally like to see all sorts of engines in old fords and would never slag other engines off all the time. no wonder he gets banned fron every forum he goes on. each man to his own. i,m sure ford didnt spend millions developing a duratec for it to be worse than a 40 year old pinto. and by the way i run a pinto.

And I know he can be an arse, and not to be offensive, but the OP seems to be new enough to the scene, so a Pinto can make a lot more sense than a Duratec that leaves you with wires coming out your crack

Mine's the fastest proper road car i've ever seen . Race tuned 16v pinto (atmo cossie) with full engine management + dry sump , type 9 s.c. gearbox , leaf springs and full interior , all steel panels , heater the lot . Performance recorded by an F.I.A. approved clock at 0-109mph in 12.8 secs despite no grip on 175mm wide tyres .
Drives spot on on the road (no gay trailer required) and ****es all over gp4 rally cars up the drag strip , lol . Of course if they fancy their chances then bring em on as i could do with a laugh !!!

Gaz if you've got a proper road car get it on the boat across to the Emerald Isles and we will show you what proper fast road cars are!!!! Whenever you cover 5000 mile in 6 months you can maybe call yours a proper road car, not just a wee drag strip car
