the car is most probably worth at least £2/3k as it looks fairly complete and is a genuine car from what can be made out in the pics , it could well go for more if put on ebay .
i am just glad i have a one owner twin cam with plenty of pics to prove its provenance as well
but there are many more copies than original cars out there , that is why an original avo rs car will fetch good money even if it is a bit rotten.
ps you would get at least £200s for the seats for retrimming so come on guys keep it real.

. It always starts with the most desirable models first (rs1600 , rs1800,twin cam) and then filters down to the common sporting models (mexico,rs2000 etc) as the log books get used up . They were swopping I.D.'s from twin cams , rs1600's etc onto mexico shells when i was a teenager and then started making rs2000's from mexicos (cos they were worth more) . I know of lots and still see some of them at shows today posing as the "real" thing !!!!!!!
. I bought an RS1600 20 years ago and they're were so many fakes back then it was a joke , unless you had the factory stamped no's on the shell , dealer service books to trace it's history , matching engine numbers etc it was a nightmare even then . With todays values and far superior craftmanship and spares network i could build a "geniune" rs1600 from a logg book and you'ld never know , plus i'd get £30,000 for it !!!!!!!!
, still looking for the rest of the AVO ones
