Thanks for your comments guys. The chassis on this side is worse than the O/S was, at the rear of the N/S it has rotted away completely. so I need to repair that before putting any floor panels back in. O and yes the A posts needs replacing on both sides mate. Personally I dont think this car would have lasted must longer before starting to become a banana, the only part of the floor that had any sound metal left at all was the tunnel. The sills on both sides were completely rotten and hanging on by a thread. Time to go and buy some new tin

A little update, decided to take a look at the O/S door, its not as bad as the N/S door was, so i made a plate up, cut out the rotten section and tacked it in place, there is also some rot in the centre and the other end of the doorskin to still address
The reverse side of the same area, I had to also repair the actual door in this corner where the door skin folds over as that had rotted away, it just needs tidying up and finishing now
Made this part seperately to make sure it is level across the bottom of the door once fitted, it just needs a bit of final cutting and shaping and can then be welded into position

Yours is like a new car now, they are doing a great job with it. I would love to see your car once you have it back.
A little bit more done today, made my own chassis piece to replace the bit that had already rotted away lol. still have some more repairs to do to the chassis before the floor panels can go it.

I hope so Davey, just keep cutting out the rot when I get to it.
Done a little bit more friday evening, I made this chassis piece as the N/S edge of the chassis rail is rotten, the other side of it is surprisingly good but need a few small repairs sorting.
Then I had to make a recess in it where the floor pan fits
Side view of the new piece showing the recess for the floorpan
The left side has rotted through right up to the bend
The new piece laid in place, next job cut out the rotten part and weld this in
All 5 sills now all but removed, 3 outer and 2 inner
and a quick mock up of the sill to see how it looks

Crack on then or I will be overtaking you
The missing pieces of my jigsaw arrived today
This is what I had to sort out and the other side needs the same doing
Not fitted in yet, but a quick check to see that it all fits together as it should, I just need to do a little bit more tidying up underneath and then it can be welded into place
