Thanks for all the comments lads on my bodywork detail, really appreciated.
I was really happy with the way it turned out and the level of correction I achieved.
Still plenty of paint left to work with in the future as most of the swirls were removed with the first pass on the polisher, some of the deeper scratches took a bit more work.
Anything the bodywork needs now will just be careful washing techniques or a simple pass with the DA polisher and topped regularly with plenty of wax.

Hard to beat the tried and tested products and a bit of know how.

I've also been contacted by the second owner of the car and had a very interesting conversation with him on the phone. Apparently the pics I posted of the man outside the Red Lion pub were him, I originally thought the pics were of the first owner. The rest of the colour pics are from the original owner.
He was also able to tell me that he originally seen the car at a classic car show at the NEC in the late 1990's. The owner of the car had lent it to a friend of his that was the manufacturer of Carcoons to put on display inside the bubble.
It would love it if someone had a picture of that ..
