Cheers chaps , got decent compression on all 4 cylinders so i hope the uprated block can take it and last longer than the previous 205 ones did .
I've got a 2.5 litre alloy block tucked away just incase but hopefully it won't be needed on this engine .
I'll take some videos of the mapping/dyno session and when the roads dry out and trust me it sounds mental . Imagine a national hot rod x10 and you'll get the picture , lol .

Hi John , got a 202 pinto block which is the same as a 200 block around the bores (thicker) . It should last longer than a 205 block but not sure how long . Maybe it will last forever and not crack but only time will tell .
The 2.5 alloy block will be used one day but very expensive if you use all the top notch bits inside it .
Wifey would kill me if she found out , lol .

hope it lasts .... i've got the same block for mine ... but running 94mm pistons ... keeping the rev limit to 7500rpm to try and keep it together

Got the car mot'd yesterday so it went for it's 1st drive . Sounds evil as fooooook but running a bit rough and needs mapping again due to all the changes . C0 at idle was only 0.4% so running on air at present . I'll increase the fuel pressure a touch tomorrow and take it for a spin as that should improve it for now .

Ok folks , turned up the fuel pressure a touch for now until i can get to the rolling road and engine's now running pretty good . Been out in it everyday this week and no problems so far except the oil leak from the cam cover .
Should have done 500 miles by next week so then it's dyno time , BAAAAAAAAAAAARRRP .
I've been really good this time and not floored it once so looking forward to opening the taps next week . Even on minute throttle openings it sounds fooooookin evil and local pedestrians are shitting themselves when it trundles up the road , lol .
An engine has never sounded this good and trust me it will go like fooooooooook !!!
