The 12sec "comfy" Evo 2 rebuild .

Fitted my dry sump pump back on the other day . Got to clean out the oil tank and reprime the system and then fire it back up . Should be ready this weekend if i don't have too work .

It's alive (again) BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRP .
The rebuilt oil pump works a treat with rock solid oil pressure this time . Fired up 1st crank of the key and had it idling for 45mins with no probs except a weeping cam cover where one of the bolts stripped it's thread .
Should be on the road soon and then i'll show you want a decent engine can do , lol . Got to find a new dyno for mapping though as my usual place has closed down so i will sniff out some other Dyno-Dynamics rollers and report back with the new bhp figures .

TBH it would be interesting to see the comparison of dyno figures on a coastdown and dyno dynamics type RR. I saw recently some people offer to pay for you to have a coastdown dyno session as they thought it might shut you up

Compared them to each other before and D.D. numbers are alot lower than the other sort . Got graphs as proof but photobucket is slower than a zetec so can't be arsed to spend 1hr looking for them again .
Basically my BMW was 220 on a dyno-dynamics then was 262 across the road on a Sun coastdown machine .
My Escort used to be 228 on the D.D. rollers and 265 and 260 at Webcon and gerald dale motorsport .

Just done the last final bolt checks and it's ready to rock this weekend .
It's got proper compression this time so sounds evil as fooooooook compared to the last version which had wobbly valve guides and the wrong thickness headgasket .
Can't wait too unleash it on full throttle and see what it goes like . Even just blipping the throttle in the garage is blowing the roof off the place !!!! Bring on the trumpet roar as it will sound epic .

As much as possible !!!! Needs 24v too crank it fast enough .

Bonnet now back on . Done the tracking by eye , proper old skool . Blanked off the old roll cage holes with nuts and bolts , refitted the steering wheel etc . Drove it out the garage and back a few times to check clutch and brakes are working and all seems fine . Done a compression test on all 4x cylinders and all is good so it's ready to rock when the roads dry out .

Compression is maxing out the gauge so running over 21bar/300psi .
