I was curious as to what I was going to find under this filler..!!!

Cut out the rot ready for a patch panel.

I also removed the filler from the petrol cap surround and it was 3mm thick. I'll grind off this patch plate and make a new one that'll only require a skim of filler.

Quarter panel now repaired as far as rot is concerned. Not as easy a repair as I first thought. The metal was so thin due to rot that the heat from the welder kept burning through. It's not as good as I was hoping but It'll look okay after It's shaped with filler.

I got around to cutting off the blank for the petrol filler, made a new blank but run out of mig gas before I could tack it into place. Just got back with a new bottle so I'll finish it over the Bank Holiday.

Nice work, i had to make a very similar repair on my c pillar bottom and it was a pain in the arse, as you say metal was thin and blew holes in when welding, the only way was to cut all the crap out but managed in the end. Looks like you managed well with the doors, i hated doing my drivers door, not looking forward to doing the passenger one, need to get on with it soon tho.
Looking forward to seeing more progress.

As for the bottom of the doors mine was not as bad as I first thought, I had planned to buy a repair panel made by... http://cbradleymotorsport.co.uk/

Welded up and dressed the fuel filler blank. On close inspection I could see the quarter panel around this area was slightly warped, so I had to use more filler than I had hoped. Not quite finished, I'm writing this whilst waiting for the last skim of filler to dry.

The boot seal rail needed repairs so got the welder and grinder out. I also started the filling on the other quarter panel and rear arch.
