had a good clean out inside the car earlier, amazing how dusty and dirty things get, anyway, the inside "rear" is now finished and what a difference in nine months...............................
Despite it being a rally car, i have always intended to keep the carpets, however the only one i had was a very nice black custom carpet (in excellent condition too), it did take a bit of nerve but to enable it to fit correctly around the rollcage etc then i had to take a stanley knife to it and cut sections out, however here it is fitted...........................
note that i have had to cut out the area's where the (new) seat rails are in place, however this area will be unseen but i will 'tidy' it up before the seats go in
the areas around the roll cage were also cut out, and i then stitched the carpet edging so that it would not fray and also it looks much neater and nicer, will do the same around the seat rails
now, where is the vacuum cleaner to give it some shake n Vac
no fear in you is there GJ looks good keep the noise down abit too
yes Bri, it should keep some of the noise down but also give it a 'warm' feeling, thus i have also kept the headlining, usually in the past i have binned carpets / headlining but then suffered from condensation problems whilst competing, thus for the minimal weight involved i have kept them this time, however i feel they help with the appearance also,
