Well guys another update for you`s.
Refitted the rocker cover, timing belt cover , thermostat and fan, Would`ve also fitted the exhaust manifold hadn`t i not forgotten to get studs
.
However with that lot back on the carbs and inlet manifold looked shi*e so i decided to remove them for a good clean up too and boy do they need it. Runs of paint everywhere and only painted on the topside of the manifold
. Nevermind its all coming back to nice aluminium like it should be.
Got a nice 3 spoke chunky wheel today too.
With carbs removed
Carbs and manfold on the bench , check out the paint job
Progress so far as its very tedious work
. Be worth it though
My nice chunky wheel, needs a centre cap though and a tidy up.

Another wee update.
Spent 5 hours on the carbs with solvent cleaner , cotton buds and ****tail sticks
Still not 100% but getting there slowly. They will be going in for a service and a new linkage aswell eventually.
Also got the new uprated radiator and some of the new hoses fitted
GOt my mate coming round tomorrow so hopefully be tackling the electricssigpicComment

Well my mate came round but we didn`t do the electrics. Doing that another day, however we got busy on ther things, removed engine mountings , alternator and bracket and got those all cleaned and painted. Had a right job with the alternator as the bushes were seized , was told come time the alternator would pack up as its not being allowed to move. Its all nice and free now though. Also got the block painted. Next will be the cylinder head and i`m going to take off the rad again and paint it to match the rocker cover and timing belt coverOriginally posted by mike77cos View Post.
