  • Well its update time again,
Got the knackered master cylinder off

Nice new one to go on

Spent most of the time prepping the front end for a freshen up. Pain in the arse to mask off the fiddly bits, and yes I know the masking might look a bit primitive but it does the job

This is what the gearbox has welcomed me home with !!

Haven`t investigated properly but will get round to it once the painting is done.

    • One job leads to two more, but the car looks a vast improvement over when you first got it.

                          • had a disaster today in the garage with the bulkhead pad. Got it all painted and later on when i went to put it onto the car the fu**ing thing split all down the front again where i had repaired it so thats 3 days work up the chuffer .
I`ve just put it back on for now and it`ll have to do till i do it again in winter time. i`m not to happy with the finish of it anyway.
Got the rest of the engine bay back together so just need to bleed the brakes and fit my headlight bezels then she`s ready for the road again

                            • I was wondering if it might be possible to put that film/wrap on the pad that some cars have their bodywork covered in? Paint and filler is likely to crack unless it's got a flexible additive in it, so might happen again or with time anyway. Maybe some kind of bumper paint might be more durable.

My nose cone paint has cracks in it, so I was considering getting someone to spray is for me while it's off the car using a flex additive and 2 pack or similar (I can only spray cellulose which isn't much good for a plastic part).
