car should be going for a respray in 2 weeks,

everythin except under the bonnet is getting down, windows out new seals, vinyl roof fitted and the rear panel and around the headlight black.

what would you guy pay for all this work? they bloke wants the car for 2 weeks to do the work?

the car does need a small bit of welding on a wheel arch, and just general filling etc?

these arrived today,

there not mint but still look good, came with genuine ford plastic headlight bowls, theres some damage on the bowls thugh

and ill finally have working side lights

I do hope you are going to get rid of the Beetle bulbs and put some H4's in

yeah got some ultra zennon look bulbs or something for them.

the light on the left has a bit of damage on the bottom, where the reflector has gone bad

but there gen ford, came with gen ford bowls but there a bit damaged.

just need to look out for one more thats a bit better condition.

can't wait for it to be painted, had a little race the other day with an orange mex that turned up along side me at the lights too.

I use MK1 Golf Headlights (Hella) which you can still buy brand new and for not a lot of money. Little bit of modifying with a Dremmel and fit straight in.

they do look good, i'll probably go down that route, unless i can find some genuine ford ones.

i'm trying to keep everythign gen for parts, but the cost of everyting is alot, i think i got these lights at a ok price on ebay.

just those few parts hard to get hold, of badly need a front bumper overrider, and a genuine rear light lens for the drivers side

car has gone for paint today

done the last few things today before it went,

and put a different escort badge on

been doing a few more bits hers a couple of the car at the paint shop


started to paint the badges, got more 1.6 wing badges coming to me in the post, as i've only go one decent one.

started on the steering wheel, the centre was already painted red, and was a real poor job, decided to do it to match the colour of my car, i guess not everyone taste but looks good to me.




i'm having a vinyl roof made from scratch too. Paul.

been to see the car today,

i've had a vinyl roof made and fitted for £180 and it looks fantastic.

hope to have the car back around thursday, then put it all back together for the show this year.
