The only thing i'd change is the plates - flat perspex pls. I know raised letters are retro and 'in period' but the car just looks so 'smooth' the lumpy plates just jar with me LOL!
Could never do that, they are the original ones from 1977,

Yeah I’m going to get the Quaker atb one, I only use the car on road so don’t want anything that needs much maintenance.

Don’t shoot me but Capri laser alloys on an escort

Mexico steels didn’t fit over the new brakes

New hispec calipers, yellow stuff pads, grooved discs, new TCA’s track rods, poly bushes, single leafs, new carburettor

Car drivers very well now, like night and day compared to how it was, everything I took off I expect was from 1977

I have a rear disc set up all ready to go on and will order an ATB LSD too

We moved house 2 months ago, was only going to be a short time making us chain free to buy our next house, now someone has eaten a bat or let a man made virus out the lab, they whole world is on lockdown and you can view, or move house, so now I’m a bit stuck at the in laws for probably 12 months or more minimum,

I drove my escort down here and a couple of times before lockdown, but it’s so tired suspension and brakes wise, it was enjoyable,

Went on a bit of a spending spree

Bought some wheels, as fancied a bit of a change, two are cracked so now on the look out for some replacements.

Bilt a workbench with a load of sleepers that were lying in the garden and got a vice.

Will re under seal the underside, and paint up the parts as they come off and go back on, Duraflex polybush set, cheap buy actually look the part and should be fine for the use the car gets with me.

Will order a Quaife ATB LSD soon, and I might throw some rear discs on, I know not needed but I just like the look.

I already had the battery and got it out of another car I’ve got. Will see how it goes.

Bought a oil pump thing today and sucked out most of the oil in the diff

Was pretty bad, I’ve never changed it and the car has only done 28000 miles so it’s probably genuine ford oil.

Gravity filled it though to make things easier.

4 litres of anti freeze poured in and the drivers door re aligned so it opens and shuts better.

Opened the garage. First time in over 2 years, that’s the view that greeted me.

Took a while but started up, and ran ok,

Swapped the radiator pipes for new ones and sorted the spot light wiring as I had it wrong and sorted a new battery out.

It even shot some flames. Haha
