              Thanks for comments guys,
This site has been excellent for the resto. I regularly look at pics of the top cars & resto's here as reference. If we use the likes of Worters, Gerard's, Mr Watts, etc as a benchmark we cant go wrong.

Great to have all the rust gone.
I know there is a fine line between a full panel restoration and a re-shell, contentious debate I know. I could have bought a good shell for a lot less money than all the panels & material cost, and thats without the 100's of hours labour , but I wanted the challenge of repairing an original car and enjoyed doing it myself.
99.9% sure of a rear quarter now, so want to get the shell away for painting.
Lakes 2011 is my target, if I can get an entry.

              More pics soon.

              Robert

doing a bit of clean-up on some parts last week. Stripped front & rear belts and cleaned. The springs and lock mechanisms in the inertia reels were very sticky but now very free & positive. Washed the belts in soapy water and came up like new.
Used a trick we used to do on aircraft seat belts(approved) where the edges were frayed a little - quickly melt with a lighter and burns off and seals all the loose threads.
                        made up new safety tags.

                        few other pics....
