  • Mk1 Fiesta Zetec - Project Welsh & Proud

I know its not an escort or an rs, and yes its a skater.

It's about time i finally posted up some pics of mk1 fiesta 1.1 pop, i've had the fes for 3 months now, gradually buying bits here and there, and only now really getting stuck into the bodywork, i don't normally get involved with the bodywork its usually the engines and the cosmetic stuff so this has been a learning exprience for me far.
I've just finished sold my last project - a 2litre zetec'd ka (www.zeteconboard.co.uk) so now have some spare cash and some time to crack on with the fes.
plans for the fes are: 2 litre s3 zetec engine which i've got already i broke a mondeo for that so the engine turned out free of charge (bargain) just need a set of bike carbs for that next, i've just broken a mk2 xr2 road rally car so i've got the nearly new omp cage and corbeau forza buckets for a bargain price of £250 ready to get bolted in, i've also got a set of mcr rally arches (x pack replicas) to be fitted.

the fes has a lot more rust than i'd first thought, after removing panels and underseal theres a lot more hidden away, luckily the floors are pretty good, just usual rusty rear arches / sills, and some dodgy repair patches.
loads if pics below, will try and keep this updated as much as poss. need some motivation so hoping by posting this thread will help.

(taffr - as you can see i'eve finally got the grinder on it )

I've had 2 mk1's, they are a rare breed now, I never got round to putting a go faster engine in, always wondered how they would go, this will be a flyer, nice work

never actually seen a proper set of xpack arches fitted to a fes only ever seen that black and white pic, rare items now, i've got teh next best thing the fibreglass versions, you ain't got a copy of the instructions to fit them have you????

there's only one Mk1 Fiesta Graphic and that's the Supersport graphic, the all other graphics were sh@te.
