Been a while since i updated this, quite a bit done but still a long way of!!
Bits i've sorted since last update:
Rear xr2 (mk2) panel fitted just needs blending in a bit better
ns side sill fitted and blended in
ns front rear inner wing / upper front wing edge (drip rail?) replaced and all welded up
wing recess welded and smoothed - still needs a few holes filled and smoothed but looks the part - had to sacrifice a n/s quarter panel to get the recess i wanted :?
in the engine bay i've started to stitch the seams, also removed everything from inside the engine bay, got the fc engine mount welded up and got the engine trial fitted, five speed cut out also done on the ns inner arch, removed the brake servo strengthener and smoothed it off so that ain't going back in, removed the ribs on top the wheel arches and started to smooth them of that makes a lot of difference a lot cleaner look
jobs to do next:
remove all the underseal from the drivers side arch so i can remove the front rear inner wing and remove the sill, wanna try and get the engine bay sorted and done so the engine can be left in out the way instead of trpping over it all the time  also got a set of mk2 escort bonnet hinges so gotto work that out next before the wings are finally fitted

some new pics, done few more bits, finally started on the drivers side defo more rust this side, jobs done: repair footwell, replace the inner scuttle panel, fit new inner front rear wing, fit new inner front wing, just waiting for the sill to be delivered and that can be welded on and smoothed, rear floor and arch to sort and thats hopefully the drivers side done, hoping o get in primer by the end of the month and fingers crossed painted ovr the xmas hols trying to be optimistc, don't want to miss the show season next year and defo don't want to miss the lakes
got to make the bonnet to hinge the opposite way so got a pair of escy mk2 bonnet hinges to solve that but if that don't work i'll be getting a fiberglass bonnet
engines got to be bolted back in so i can weld in a stabiliser bar for the gear box end
sorry to bore you all with so many pics...............

This is a nice looking project mate, i'm working on an arched Mk1 Fiesta project too, but haven't made as much progress as you have.
Where did you get your rollcage from?
I've got a set of the original alloy Grp.2 arches too, which i've sent off to be replicated, they should be on sale soon.

Yeah I think I put a post up on xr2.com too, hopefully I should have the copied alloy arches back at the end of the month, they'll be on sale then after that.
I'm trying to sort out an alloy front spolier too. Once i've got the arches back i'll let you know what they're like if you want.

Few more bits done been blending in the the two panels where i had to replace the inner front wing, also been welding over any unecessary holes and filling them smooth plan on keeping the bay as clean and wire free as possible trying to do away with any header tank or washer bottles, few more coats of filler and thats side will be done.
had the engine back in this week wanted to see if the ashley manifold would fit which it does, just in need of a fiesta or escort zetec gearbox (starter at the rear) and once the bay is painted the engine can go back in and out the way, also bought an st170 inlet manifold so i can put my bike carbs on to just the carbs next.
made u a spotlamp bracket so i could trial fit the cibie oscars, couldnt resist trying on the bonnet, bumper, grill and xr2 lamp, what you think they're both 7" cibies tempted to get 9's so i can use a 7" and a 9" on each side then.
