been a long busy week spent too many hours on the fes this week, but finally got the inside all prepped and seam sealed, my mates coming down tom to prime the inside and four outer/inner arches then hes gonna spray it in diamond white, cant wait to see the interior painted been a long time coming, will have to wait for that to go off a bit before i can spray the dash and 'a' pillars satin black, was hoping to get the cage prepped but didnt have time so thats a job for next week to spray it diamond white and maybe refit it the week after.
once all thats done i can get started on getting on with exterior fitting the wings and arches - fingers crossed i can get it all sorted ready for painting over the christmas hols
couldnt resist trying in my bucket seat, alloy footrests and hydraulic handbrake, all the alloy parts are gonna be sprayed satin black to match the dash, need to make a mount to sit the hydraulic handbrake a little higher as its fouling on the seat crossmember, also got to try and fit a mechanical handbrake somehwere so it'll pass an mot - but gonna look into this to see if it defo a failure without one or not
nice one chris, what does the boss think about his new spray booth??
looking good
he dont mind he even helped to make it lol, surprising what you can make from two ladders, trestles and some polythene. monday morning it all be taken down ready for work at 8.30am
roll on tom can wait to see the inside in shiny white
Here go GJ as requested, didnt take long to paint - 2hours ish, used a white high builld primer this time and that stuff really covered good so the top coat went on a lot better, wish we'd used that for the underside floor now but nevermind we're learning all the time, had a bit of paint left so gave the dash a flash over with white! still in
undecided whether to keep it white or satin black or half n half - the bit where the top vents/speaker vent are will be satin black and the front in white with the flocked dash top in between??
cant wait to go in tom and get started on prepping the cage and arches ready for me to have a go at spraying them next weekend
this is looking really sweet,as for the the dash,i think you are best painting it satin black,as if you leave it white you will get really bad sun glear from it,when you are driving it..just thinking out loud,or am i talking b o l l o c k s!!!!...

think your right, the cage is going white too so a bit of contrast with the black dash will look better
I've had my 8x13 rims for a while and when i was tidying up the garage last week i found a pepperpot wheel with a 185/60 tyre on it and thought would that fit on my wheels??, so took the tyre / wheels over to my mates and he fitted the tyre with the help of some air tank to force the tyre on it went on first time, not sure if its too much of a wall on it though, i know others have used 195 45 on there 8's so not sure which is best, i think the 185 tyre looks a bit too rounded, needs to be on the car with some weigh to really see how its sits, if i could get a 205/45 that would be even better
