Went in for a few hours this morning started running down the rear quarters and rear panel ready for fitting the rear arches on, also put the rear cage in, just to get it out the bloody way as i keep tripping up over it  not an easy job on my own only scratched the shell once lol, bought some 12.9 high tensile grade Allen Cap Bolts, stainless washers and A2 stainless nylocs tobolt it all in, the nuts wont rust but the bolts will lol

Busy weekend ahead for me, got the rear arches bonded on this afternoon, and ive fibreglassed over the recesses, going in tom to rub them down and then some filler so hopefully the arches will be all sorted this weekend
my fibreglass mk2 escort bumpers arrived today so made a start on getting the rear one fitted, had to make new brackets to mount them, i had to cut 2 inches out of the middle to make it fit need just need to fibreglass that back together to make it one and then make some mounts for the ends to fit on and thats sorted, waiting for my mk2 escort alloy spot lamp brackets to come before i can fit the front quarter bumpers so that wont be done til next week same goes for the fibreglass bonnet need the bonnet pins and recesses before i can mount that, just the christmas post being slow thats gonna hold me up
hope to get all the bodywork sorted this weekend not much left to do exterior wise now, really cant wait to see it in white

got some new pics to put up too, fitted the mk2 escort alloy lamp bracket and quarter bumper to one corner, not easy when you have to make the brackets from scratch, the lamp brackets need slicing and then re-welding becasue the fiesta front panel is curved not flat like the escorts so its only held on with 2 bolts, prob gonna countersunk the bolts like taffr did to his mrs taffrs mex, those cibies way a ton lol
rear bumpers all fibreglassed together so only the filler to rub down, and then i got to get some number plate lights and wiring so i can cut the holes out for them.
day of from the car tom and of course christmas day then i'll have the weekend to crack on with all the fiddly jobs that need doing, dreading doing the bonnet got to make four mounts for the pins to sit, also got to cut the scuttle panel out and make a bolt in panel like the mk2 escorts.
the car is finally looking like a mk2 escort now!!!, taffr gave me the idea of fitting a mk2 escort grill but at £100 i dont think i could face cutting one up was thinking of using a square lamp grill and just cut the light holes off and just use the middle??, still no joy on rotten mk2 doors so migh have to give that idea a miss.

Here go..... some more pics, originally i was gonna use x1 oscar / 1x super oscar each side, but think i'm gonna use just super oscars as in the picture, the 2 ive got need new lenses and bolts, not sure if its gonna be cheaper just to get some fake ones and buy cibie covers to make them look the part, cibies aint the cheapest.
