Lower bulkhead , was far better than top, only set back was on o/s flitch (Where it join's on door post was 20mm short) Post a pic up later , had to joggle and fit piece in , did have me worried for a bit tho. Nice gauge steel 1mm thick , lots of holes to drill for pedal box etc but i will get there, eventually . Might need a favour of you mark, need a few pics of the cut out on the bulk head for the bda engine, original was patched up bad plus it was running twink lump in later years. Have you got any (without engine fitted mate )??? If so any chance you could mail them to me please
Here you go Charlie.....
I have full size versions of the above plus shots from inside the car.
Also pics of the upper bulkhead where the throttle & speedo cable fit.Mark....

Been a while so here are a few more pics
Decided to repair door posts before i fully welded up lower and upper bulkhead .
Needed to brace innerposts in place before i could get ruddys grinder out.
Just a bit of box section welded between inner posts and secured to transmission tunnel.
Door fit was good on n/s before i started so it was very importand i kept positon of inner door post spot on.
N/S Door post with door removed , does not look horrid but it was full of rot. These rust in amazin fashion on mk1 and 2'sRegards Charlie

A few more pics
Now inner post is secure the outer could be removed without to much worry about moving about and losing alignment of door
I used Hadrian outer repair skins, used them before and happy with fit.
Starting to remove outer skin
a bit more
next picture shows outer skin fully removed , i then set about cutting out rot and welding up too make sound. The inner post , the bit left is not serviced by anyone so same has to be repaired or swapped for a good 2nd hand one. Was lucky i manged to save
Inner post fully repaired and ready to fit new outer
New outer in position prior to welding up

Bulkheads etc from ex pressed and very expensive
Still a few genuine panels about but getting a tad expensive
Owner of bda has spend a few years searching for panals before getting car restored mateRegards Charlie
