What bits of the original shell did you intend leaving behind Charlie...
At least you will have something to weld the floor to now.

      Top work too..
What is the panel fit like on that lower bulkhead like Is there much bashing or trimming needed.
      Mark....

That's the conkers Charlie, Like your style !!! Top work.

One question I would like to ask if you don't mind is , having done this, do you think it would be possible to replace a lower bulkhead on an Escort without removing any other panels with the exception of the outer wings ?????

                Cheers
                Chris.

Front end really rusty mark , both rear quarters and boot floor will survive ha

Lower bulkhead , was far better than top, only set back was on o/s flitch (Where it join's on door post was 20mm short) Post a pic up later , had to joggle and fit piece in , did have me worried for a bit tho. Nice gauge steel 1mm thick , lots of holes to drill for pedal box etc but i will get there, eventually . Might need a favour of you mark, need a few pics of the cut out on the bulk head for the bda engine, original was patched up bad plus it was running twink lump in later years. Have you got any (without engine fitted mate )??? If so any chance you could mail them to me please
                      Regards Charlie

Thanks for the reply Charlie. Bugger, my lower bulkhead is a tad rusty and was hoping it could maybe be changed without removing inner wings and top bulkhead. Oh well!!

                              Cheers
                              Chris.

i'd love to get stuck into something like that, but not on an important car, one i could easily throw away if it all went wrong
