      [quote=Charlie Chisholm;152288]Top man cheers !!

      Did not think cut out was as deep

      hi charlie
      watching your posts with intrest as ive almost finished a similar resto on my own car
      can you or anyone else tell me , were the cutouts that your talking about made at AVO or, over the years with endless engine removals and lack of 2-post ramps in the early 70's, made by owners/ford dealers ? ie was it a factory mod ?

      my car had it but after fitting new upper bulkhead cant bring myself to re-cut it !?

      cheers ally

      cheers allyb

      • Ally as per the pics earlier in the thread (reposted below) All the RS1600's had the bulkhead cut & bashed at the AVO plant.
        No two would be exactly the same as there were done by hand or should that be hammer.

            What an amazing piece of work - almost built a new shell there. Not cheap but it will be a stunner when done. I am really impressed.

                Excuse my 'curiosity' but where did you learn all that?

                              • Just read this from the start, unbelievable! You say just a hobby Charlie? I would put my money on you against people in the trade that do it for a living, with restos like this what an advert if you take it up as a business, they will be knocking your door down, good on you
