im restoring a mk2 van (well have it started) at the mo & am gonna be using 7.5" RS 4 spoke wheels on the rear. When I put the wheels on they stick out a few inches maybe 1-2" past the wheel arches. Im thinking of using MK1 Golf rear arches as these are wider & will take the wheels or can i use the van axle shortened so that it sits under the standard arches & the body still looks stock. If I use the golf arches I maybe taking away from the vans look....
I ve seen some mk1 escorts with the golf arches on the rear & mk1 mexico arches on the rear as well & they can look crap....
I was told to get myself an anglia estate axle as its narrower.....
I want my van to look tasty body wise when finished (as we all want our cars to look) & the engine mods wont be mad & I wont be driving the van every day, but will be using it more than the mex. Im sticking to the wheels on the rear.....any thoughts of what i should do?????
