  • Parts Bubble Bursting???

Are we starting to see MK2 Escort parts prices falling back towards normal levels??

1 year ago this would have cost you £600-700

    Cheers

Still extortionate compared to the £35 I paid for them 20 years ago

So when NOS spoilers went for £1200 and everyone accepted that as the benchmark as that is what the open market valued it at, do we now accept that the wings are worth £250 as that's what the market decided ?

I would guess some people's retirement funds in the loft have just took a knock ...

Maybe the re manufactured Magnum panels are stabilising the market ?

Of course they are..as a viable alternative is available then prices will pull back.
Having fitted genuine wings I do know that they are little better than pattern parts.
A good bloke can make most parts fit nicely as you well know.

Yes you can make none genuine part's fit but I know what I would be wanting to fit if I had the choice . Let's hope the car's and part's become cheap again and then the old clique , won't have to remember the good old day's and my even own an escort again ! Fpmsl .

Or it's coming up to Christmas and most of us would lynched for spending Santa's budget on blue oval products
In March prices be back to 'normal' - just like convertibles.

Or maybe they are now back to normal and previously were selling well above their market price??

A bit like the dot.com boom

                        The bubble has burst

Chesneys boot spoiler was on here for £200 no offers its worth that all day long

I offered him £180 but refused then he listed it on eBay

Finally won it for £142 just a sign of the time, what somebody thinks its worth and what you actually get for it are two different things

Last year I gave highlandken on here a genuine ford RS2000 wing for £250 and thats what I paid for it no need to make money just helping one of the boys out

That's what it used to be like 10 years ago, you gave bits away and got bits back in return. But unfortunately the value of parts started to climb and some people began speculating and driving the prices up which in turn stopped people giving parts away for nothing as their value had gone up 10 fold
                            Cheers
