Kev, when was the last time we all camped at Brooke meadow or such like, or did fancy dress in some random pub in the middle of nowhere? When was the last time we had 65 cars on display? Winning countless (at least 2) best club stands

When I was a little lad I went with my Dad to collect his new Mk1 Escort estate, was given a Twin Cam poster, my first car was as a teenager was a Mk1 Escort.
Rallied, autotested and hillclimbed them for over 30 years, not really into the show scene, but have taken cars to them and have come away with a prize, amazingly it wasn't as well turned out at it has been at the start of some events.
I have just about a copy of all different Escort homologation papers, which is something that interests me.

Also would like to say I deffo wasnt in it for the money , as HWR cost me a lot more to build than I sold it for
Also sold all my left over bits at good prices on here rather than selling on ebay

Just saying

Same here son, enjoyed building them, then drove a bit then sold them, mostly at a loss, moved on to the next one.

Got to the point though that the next basket case was far too dear and the parts to build a good car were stupidly expensive.

Maybe should have just kept one ......

Was a really good day, needs repeating next year and a few more similar events adding .

You can reserve a big track side parking area at Prescott for car clubs. You can sit behind the cars a watch the hillclimb. Always a good day out.
