Not easy getting stuff reproduced, was talking to local vintage tractor parts supplier and costs for tooling and minimum order number was huge
They need to cut a scrap one up first and see how it's made and works, then test the prototype spoiler out on several cars. There should be a similar guage metal stiffener inside and must be contoured with a suitable bend in it so when it is bolted to the boot lid the spoiler will hug the lid, this also allows for any difference in lid height as there is on LAR. I was looking at my car today and the boot lid is exactly the same as LAR, but the spring in the original spoiler accomodates the discrepancy easily. This is how Ford designed them, the cars where built with minor errors like this and the Ford spoilers were made to fit them all. Bonding, double sided tape etc is just not acceptable on these cars!

I have posted about this on the rsoc of australia facebook page so that others don't get shafted like we have been.

Bad news travels fast so hopefully this guy will do something about it if he sees that people are not buying his products.

I gave him the opportunity to do the right thing so he has only himself to blame.

Just a thought but is it worth contacting Burtons about this?
They may be able to bring some pressure to bear if you tell them how shite this spoiler is as they apprear to be the uk agent for Lyttons products.

I don't want to involve them as they never supplied mine and so it's not there problem. i'm sure they have had complaints with the ones they have sold and will no doubt put pressure on him anyway.
