Couldn't agree more I bought loads of bits for my over winter refresh from a certain UK AVO eBay seller. 90 % of the bolts and screws were just plain wrong. Wrong length, wrong head pattern. Wire hose clips were wrong diameter and didn't fit over the hoses. Emailed my concerns, no reply.

Ended up reusing all the old fixings and buying hose clips elsewhere.

    Lesson learned
    Getting bored with the idiots

I cannot leave this spoiler on the car as it is an embaressment

Very disappointed to say the least. I hope other people don't make the same mistake I did.

Spoiler looks crap but the boot lid does look higher than the rear wing

yes, thats exactly the same way mine sat on the car. Also lifted at the front when tightened. We tried everything, strapped then down for days, heated garage etc, nothing works. These are only fit for someone who is prepared to bond them down to the boot. Then the gap over the quarters closes .

I'm not knocking Peter for his efforts in trying to reproduce these. It was a big undertaking but it didnt work so they should never have been sold.
Has only created a lot of bad feeling IMO.

So how can these new spoilers be improved, do they need a metal stiffener folded to boot profile welded to mounting studs cast into rubber during moulding process ?
Not easy getting stuff reproduced, was talking to local vintage tractor parts supplier and costs for tooling and minimum order number was huge

Yes Marty, apart from the rubber feeling more like sponge than rubber, the metal stiffner is too flimsy and not contoured correctly. I cant see any way of modifying them now to improve the fit.

why has he not responded to my emails???

he knows they're shite and is refusing to even acknowledge it as I said others have had no response.

I will do my utmost to ensure other people are aware before parting with £325 that they may as well poor down the drain.
