Usually when ebay take them down they just dissapear and you get a message saying no longer available, this says ended so i think it sold. On the sellesr other items is a V5 for a MK1 Cortina only £50.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-CORTI...item3ccda5acef

The attitude of some people is shocking. How very narrow minded indeed.

So there people who make a living from these cars who don't care about this.

Well I for one will vote with my wallet.

Well I must say I am glad that some people agree with my view and its not just me "moaning"

I always report this action to e bay and will continue to do so.

To answer your original question, it will never stop

Identity swaps/ringing or whatever you want to call it was rife back in the 80's, nothing has changed its just blatantly more obvious now with the internet at our disposal!

I was talking to a friend the other day who is into "other" classic vehicles, in his opinion any one who is "in to" MK1 & 2 Escorts are dodgy thieving bar stewards And although I answered with the obligatory "thanks mate", I kinda had to agree with him to a certain degree

                            mk2

The vast amount of v5 sales are from escorts broken up years ago,,not stolen just rusty old escorts.
We get a call every couple of weeks with people asking for v5s not that we have them to sell!!!
Mainly for 2-door books for rally car builds or someone whats a book for a lefthand drive import. When we say no could not help they buy the ones that are on ebay!

It's not where they are from that is the issue it's where they are going.

Take the poor old guy who had his yellow Mk1 RS stolen a couple of years ago. He'd had it from new... Car as far as I know has never been seen again..... Or has it?? Is it the lovely restored car admired at shows around the country. Is it the lovely restored car sold on eBay. Is it the lovely restored car sold on here. Fact is we'll never know.

Laughing at V5 sales and calling it boring does nothing but taint the already poor image of the classic Ford scene.

Yes it's obvious some of you guys couldn't give a shit, it's you guys that should shut up and let the people like me carry on reporting the sales on eBay.

I applaud Alan for spending the time doing this. Each one he posts I also report although I never get a reply from ebay. I just hope it somehow helps.
