      Not good !

dealer still has the car, all wiring hanging out of it like a gutted sheep, they cannot now find or discover the fault (i.e the car is reading out on the diagnosis as ok) but when all the wiring was put back they couldnt lock the doors, and then it wouldnt start.

All the modules have been checked, as has fuses and relays, and various runs of wiring. Ford 'Technical' are on the case, but it appears to have them baffled too.

Technician tells me that he cannot replace a part if there is no Fault showing (which there isnt) even though there is a fault there (if you get my drift)

next call this afternoon to the Big guns............

Get the car replaced for another, not fit for purpose under the consumer act, I wouldn't want it back in all honesty if they've pulled a new car apart.

Best of luck with it son.

I agree with ruddy here, you have given them ample opportunity to repair the car, I would ask for a replacement car and say you have lost all confidence in this vehicle. If they refuse ask for money back and threaten to buy a subaru

They must like wasting time and money, surely this is the easiest way to determine if a module if faulty, we all know how much to trust computers.

Many years ago my Vauxhall had an intermittent ingition fault, substitution isolated the fault and later the garage told me the module turned up faulty on a new piece of diagnostic kit the bought (they must have kept the faulty module as a curiosity)

Graham, got to be be not fit for purpose now, you'll need a new one, take a 500 as recompence!! Seriously you should be offered a new vehicle, how many miles has yours done?

Good luck although I feel it's not luck you need here,
