I drive my Prodrive Bugeye WRX everday, does just over 300 miles to a tank, happy days works out late 28/29 Mpg
280bhp, 4 wheel drive, pulls like a train, totally reliable and it's a wagon so I fill it with all manors of crap
Oh and it tows well too
what about a weasel Golf ?
I tickle it everywhere Glyn and it sees no more than 23mpg even cruising on the motorway
Anyway, I had a little look at a BMW 320D M Sport on a 57 plate yesterday. Quite liked it but it has done 94k which puts me off a little. The dealer did though offer me 10k Part ex for the Subaru against it.
Off to have a look at an Audi A4 S-Line Avant this morning (If it stops snowing )
I still don't want to get rid of the Impreza though.

if your going bm, you need the 6 cylinder 3 litre engine. much much better than the 2 litre 4 cylinder. near 150mph, and loads of torque to tow your rs2000 about.
dont let the mileage put you off either, as long as its got history.

Has full dealer history and 1 owner.
Never had a BMW before. Test drive tomorrow (Probably in the snow ) Will see what it is like.
"If" I buy it (or an A4) I will be having it mapped by Simon Coe who did my Golf in 2003.
Well, the deed was done this afternoon. Part chopped the Subaru for a BMW 320D M Sport.
Whilst I was there, another 2 Subaru's came in for PX and both against BMW's Must be something in the air......................
Anyway, Many thanks to all who gave advice etc. I would have loved an A4 but the one's I wanted were out of my budget range.
