Thing is though, Every time I get into it, I love it. Stunning car
Sensible head time though I think now
Budget would be 10-11k as I can still get 10k for the Impreza. Have been looking at Audi A4 Avant S-Line TDI's but only higher mileage ones are in my price bracket. I don't want a car that depreciates like a bomb either
I don't do Vauxhalls of any kind or Mondeo's.
Suggestions please. 2 kids and wife to ferry around!
Don't do boring cars of any sort either.

Is it Frosties who keeps getting lost ? So budget for TomTom yeah ?
Mind if I jump in on this thread too as I was going to post the same type of thing ?
Reading all the previous posts has urinated on my plans for the next car....
Have a Jag XJR6 for nearly 2yrs (Ex Mogsmex's dads)and fault free motoring.@ 17mpg spending £80p/w on fuel now + badly loaded scrap lorry leaving some metal on the A13 for me to hit damaging the front and torpedoing the floor pan and with a cracked screen from the cold weather... Leaves me needing a new car . Shame to see it go as the engine has done 210K and is sweet as a nut. Owning a horse now too I need something more practical anyway now.
Casting the net far and wide......
Been reading about and watching adds for Scooby wagons both classic's and blob eye WRX with PPP as they seem reliable, and cheap(ish) for what you get. The STI seems to be a drinker so a no no. As a lot of ppl on here seem to know about them what is the everyday MPG from them and the Blobeye much better than a classic or is the classic more fun ?
Also was thinking about Land Rover products but the recent bad weather has put pay to any bargains , Discovery2 Td5's seem expensive but V8 seems better value with LPG. Then if your going LPG then a classic RR is in order...Now I read on here LPG is a agro ????? Used to drive a Disco1 300TDI in Kosovo fantastic motor for the roads (and Albanian drivers too) but now seem rusty as hell ?
So I need a motor that has to fit a greyhound or 2 bales of hay sized things in the back and be not bad on 40mile commute to work 3/4 main fast roads 1/4 b lanes + take a smashing up a unmade road. 30MPG would do or 17 on LPG if its any good...
Budget 5K very, very max cheaper the better( hate to loss too much on cars nowadays) , ideas please folks ?Steve

Bomb proof reliability as well.
MY05 STI's with PPP and 50k miles are going for around the 10k mark.
Classics are good fun but getting old now. Get a UK Turbo if you can
The WRX is a nice car but not on the same level as an STI. (Think MK2 1600 Sport Vs MK2 RS2000)
