GMC Typhoon
The GMC Typhoon went into production from 1992 to 1993 with less than 5,000 units produced. It was marketed as the high-performance variant of GM’s Jimmy sports utility vehicle (SUV), and specifically based on the 1991 edition of that SUV.
The Typhoon is also closely related to the GMC Syclone but differs with its air-operated self-leveling rear suspension. An all-wheel drive, the Typhoon is powered by a 4.3L LB4 turbo V6 engine. Power output is listed officially at 280 horse power (209 kW) and 360 ft-lb (488 N-m) of torque, although there have been some stock Typhoons gauged at more than 300 horse power (224 kW).
The GMC Typhoon can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.3 seconds and burn a quarter-mile track at 95 mph in 14.1 seconds. With these impressive figures, Car and Driver magazine favorably compared the Typhoon’s performance with the pricier Ferrari 348ts, Chevrolet Corvette and Nissan 300ZX Turbo.

Mine has sat in the garage since Summer, probably as bad as the Imprezza on fuel thats why mine is standing. I have looked at several Volvo V70 Sports D5 but caught same as Frosty, dont want something that drops value quickly.

At the end of the day an old Gti is still a GTi, but an old Volvo is just an old Volvo.

only kept my imprezza for 3 months due to the fuel, was forever filling it.

now run a 330d m sport.
powerful and economical(ish), seem to hold value ok.
or audi a4 avant, was my other choice.

Yes, Very nice car. But, too small I'm afraid. I could only just fit everything in my old GTi which was on a larger platform.
Thing is, I love the Impreza so much. There is a LPG converter near where I live so I may go for a chat with them and see what's what.

strange never had that problem might be a ford thing!!!

new cars are a nightmare on LPG with all the sensors electronics they nearly all through up the managment light and show faults once had a newish bmw3 series and the only way to get the management light out was to put black gaffa tape over the light on the clock cluster

audi a4 avant tdi sport son, had ours for 5 years now, its on 158,000 miles, still goes like ****, still looks great, you won't go wrong with one of those, sporty look too with great economy and you have the chip option, don't look anywhere else
