Ive also got one of these sat in the garage, but mines a bit different as its the only convertable one as far as i can see gartrac converted, there are only around five or six original long wheel base cars left now. I think a couple including mine still run the v6 with 4 speed box and the rest have either granada cozzy as the press car now runs or yb cozzy fitted. But for me it has to be left as it was originaly built.

Gartrac were not the only people doing RWD Escort Mk3. I remember packing the last of the Genesis RWD conversions in the mid 90's. These were a complete conversion kit and instructions for home diy. Of course you would need to be a good fabricator. First the jigs were made (parts included) then the shell was cut up and the new parts added. Some of these still exist, they were designed to run the Escort MK2 suspension and a Pinto or X-Flow engine. I wish I had done one back then when I had the chance.
So, anybody got a Genesis RWD?Why do we pay others to do a job we did ourselves?
Ever paid for conveyancing?
