  • gartrack mk3 escort

i picked up my mk2 on sunday and the guy has this mk3 rwd 2.8i escort, im not into them myself but wonderd what it is, it looks abit like a 1700t from the front and has massive x-pack like arches, the guy said its a factoy built (gartrack escort) with its own ltd id number, i have pics but dont know how to get them from my phone to the pc, anyway it has a great wrx number plate and if it is worth anything its a crying shame to see crap dumped on top of it
    any ideas lads

Used to be a lad called steve who used to own a signal green Mexico a good few years ago in the days of the MK2 RS Escort Club who bought a Gartrac MK3 with a 2.8 in it. Wonder if it is the same car???? Was on the MK2 stand at Stanford Hall with us in 2005.

I know that Gartrac did make some of these. Graham John should be able to enlighten us further......

I have a Brochure here, will scan it and post it up later, Gartrac certainly made MK3 RWD escorts to conpensate for the lack of a RWD escort, but then again so did a lot of others and the copies became known as G3's or Gartrac RWD when in fact only Gartrac could lay claim to the originals

think 'Genuine' factory x pack mk2s........

will post details up when i find brochure

Saw this beauty at Croft last year

The owners said it was built by Malcolm Wilson from a Gartrac supplied shell and had brand new Capri 2.8i parts fitted when being built.

He has owned the car for 20+ years

That car was at a fair few local group shows last year and also had a spread in Fast or Performance Ford in the last 12 months!
