Shame about the damage ![Embarrassment](https://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/core/images/smilies/redface.png)
I always use a heavy heavy duty "garage" style jack (like the sealey ones).
These crappy "lightweight" ones are a waste of money and potentially dangerous.
Never use block of wood to jack owt up with, only to "support" the engine or gearbox when removing/undoing mounts. It's all too easy for the car to slip off the blocks![eek](https://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/core/images/smilies/eek.png)
Don't know if you couldn't warm the sump up (very carefully, not above 350°C), and give it some light "persuasion", you may be able to save it.
