sounds like an award within an award at shows ??

please, please will someone tell me - i genuinely do not know and probably many others dont either

absolutely no disrespect to H, but if it is such a nice thing to win, why are there only two entires this year
most points in each class after the season gets a gold cup, so several gold cups

So if Car A does 6 shows and gets 6 1st Places and Car B does 14 shows and gets 6 2nd and 8 3rd places Car B would win the Gold Cup

Surely it would be better to divide the number of points gained in the year by the number of shows attended (with a minimum of say 5 shows) that way the Best Car would win the Gold Cup.

Unless the Cup is awarded for attending the most events
          Cheers

You have just agreed with Scott and yet he feels the following

However, I think if the the rule stays, it will be to the detriment of ND again and that in my honest opinion isn't us looking at the whole picture for RS enthusiasts.
Scott realises the rule was tried but it was not a success.

Looks like sense could finally be returning to Concours

seriously though, this needs discussing properly at the AGM and the best course of action taken for the good of the WHOLE concours scene, not just for a few individuals who want things their own way.
As you all know, i'll make my piece heard next sunday.

I voted for the 2 show rule last year but I've gotta say that imo it did affect national day in a BIG way!!
Admitedly there were a few extra cars out at some regional days but who's to say that they wouldn't have been out anyway? I know from judging at quite a few local shows and National Day that a lot of the cars that were out all year weren't even at ND. I think the novice class must take a lot of credit for the numbers not the 2 show rule.

I'm sorry if some people don't agree but thats my view.
Just to re-literate..........THINK OF WHATS BEST AS A WHOLE FOR GETTING MORE CARS OUT AT LOCAL GROUP LEVEL AND NATIONAL DAY

I would have loved to have won the gold cup and national day with my car years ago in '04 & '05 but I was beaten by Ian and Alan with better cars, simple as!

dont shoot or shout at me as im not too sure how this concourse thing works but how can the people like Hally who drive their car to shows be in the same show /level as those who trailer theirs dont understand it why not have two different categories trailered and drien may be its already like that i dont know .My hat goes off to those who entre and drive as its much harder than just showing up and taking your nice shiney and clean car (the one you cleaned yesterday) off the trailer
