Current participants like The 2 day rule because it increases the odds in their favour for winning at National Day.
Those that do not or no longer participate in concours want it changed so ALL (yes the word ALL means everybody) RSOC Members can compete against similar model RS's at the pinnacle of the Show Season - NATIONAL DAY
I only hope next year that The RSOC Committee protects its finances and ensures that Regional Days make a sound business plan and DO NOT run at a loss with the potential of dragging the club into serious financial difficulties and then have to rely on (ooh let me think here, oh yes I got it now) NATIONAL DAY to make a £30k profit and bail em out.
National Day should be for the members to get out their cars for all to see and not just for the 70 log books applied for in 2008
Pity all 70 log book entrants (of which I did not have one) in 2008 couldnt be RS'ed to show at National Day after all the fuss they made about banning One Day WondersLast edited by RS2000CUSTOM; 13-10-2008, 13:50.

did you ever walk over to the mk2's at national day? that was a show within a show in my eyes and I would of been proud to park there and show my car.

Only RSOC members could be part of the display
Or are you getting mixed up with The Works Team 52 cars on display at Stanford Hall at AVO Day 2008 when it clashed with Northants Regional Day ?
52 cars and not all were RSOC members

My car isn't concours, but it is a genuine 90k mile example with all original panels and a few modifications.
I can't compete against the concours boys. Partly because I drive my car to all the shows I attend and park in the muddy fields the night before but also because I personally do not want to sit all day cleaning my car and having to sit by it waiting for the judges to come and inspect it.
I would love to be able to enter my car in a 'show and shine' for everyday driven cars where the judges will look at the originality of your car and accept that there is some dust on the seat runners, that you do have some dirt in your tyre treads and god forbid you have not removed every bit of brake dust from your wheels
I don't take my car to shows to try and win awards (that's my choice) but when someone comes up and says that your car looks nice and personally thanks you for having it on display this is worth more than any medal or award.Cheers
